Reproduction, reproductive effort, and demographics:

Women has fulfilled and still making the reproductive work that allows the survival of individuals and societies throughout history and up to date recent, with the aim of ensuring social survival.

In modern societies, a high reproductive efficiency is given (progress and diffusion of contraceptive methods) that frees the woman of the traditionally work performed and allows them to enter to the labour market.

Historical evolution , culture , anthropology and cultural history : From the prehistoric, women as men has assumed a distinct cultural role. In hunting and gathering societies, women were almost whenever they collect plant products, while the males were dedicated to the hunting. Because of his deep knowledge of flora, women were those who led the societies to the Neolithic period and became the first farmers.

In the middle ages the female driver  set out from the rules for every moment and life situation. Almost always the age corresponds to a civil State and a function according to her.Women represented in the image of the girlfriend, married , widow that is always connected to the male. The most important role of the women was of the wife and mother.

In the recent history the functions of women has changed enormously .The middle class brought with it a new conception of the family where the woman played a role restricted to home. Until then, women had participated in tasks of supplies and work for family survival outside the home.

The role of women were domestic tasks and they not used to gain access to paid employment. For women more poor, the economic necessity has forced them for a long time to seek employment outside the home, Although the occupations in which the working class women were traditionally employed were lower in prestige and salary than those who make the males.

In the 18th century it begins to consider the equal rights of men and women for the first time. The female wage like the children was controlled by parents or husbands. Women leave their homes to work in factories in a very poor working conditions.

In the 19th century began the first females strikes.

In the 20th century the feminist movement managed to overcome the political discrimination, economic and social women’s. The UN established 8 March as the international day of the woman. The tribute to the first women who fought for their rights the second Socialist International Meeting fixed as women’s day on the 8 of March .

FEMINISM:

The feminist movement has followed the recognition of the equal opportunities and equal rights for women. The difficulty to obtain this recognition are due to historical factors, customs and social traditions.

Currently, due to economic changes, the feminist and other human rights movements women have access to professional careers and works similar to men in most societies. In many modern societies women have full legal equality in the workplace and in the family, being able to be heads of households. So that we could say that women’s conditions has improved.

Inequality between men and women is marked :

Despite the progress that has been made over the years, still remain many achievements  getting to achieve true equality between men and women.

The women paid 22% less than men, according to annual wage structure survey last published by the INE. The women charge 12.502 euro on average men 25.001 euro, so women would need to work 54 days every year to earn the same as a man.

With regard to the access of women to positions of responsibility in Spain only 11.5% of the directors of the companies of the Ibex 35 were women, although equality act pursues a minimum of 23%, which is still far away.

867 millions of  adults that have not education: 550 are women´s according to the statement of the UN. Women are more sensitive to the crisis. About  the equal opportunities in access to employment, Amparo Osca lecture in psycologist, in the work of the OU said that with the crisis this idea is going to suffer more. According to Amparo, the crisis give advantage to thinking in stereotypes, considering that  there are many candidates for many positions claim that the processes of selection of the employess  damage women`s .

In Spain, a total of 2 358.834 women are unemployed, representing an increase of 8.2% from the previous year. Therefor, labour measures that begin to apply in the future should apply the principle of equality of opportunity, so that the unemployed women  can have more possibilities of access to the labour market.

In Europe women struggle to occupy most positions director, America wins ground in politics and in Asia are making changes in the royalty.

THERE IS TOO MUCH WORK TO DO YET!!
